All About Tiny P…

Our precious tiny P was hospitalized, and her orphanage advocated for her to have a surgery that would keep her alive, and help her grow and be healthy until she could be adopted. We will forever be grateful to the person who fought for our tiny P.

Tiny P has a complex CHD (congenital heart defect). Her unique heart also comes with some unique anatomy differences…

In a “normal” heart there are two chambers, called atriums, and below those chambers, there are two ventricles, a left and a right. Well, if you picture half of that “normal” heart, you will be close to what tiny P’s little heart looks like. She doesn’t have two sides to her heart, as she has a single ventricle and a single atrium… she has half a heart. She also has a few other things going on with her heart, and we will find out more in the coming months when we get her home. In addition to these things, tiny P’s heart is on the right side of her body.

What does this mean for Tiny P?
It means she has a very special and unique heart…

It also means that she will need further surgeries to help her continue to grow. We have an idea of the surgery(s) she will need, but we won’t know exactly when it will happen or what it will entail until we get her home… but get her home we will! She is our daughter, and regardless of what her future holds, we are honored that we get to be her family, and we cannot wait to get to her!
