Celebrating And Party Choices…

When little M and I were discussing what kind of party she wanted to have a few months ago, I gave four (I thought) pretty awesome ideas…she chose none of them.
My girl, who clearly has a mind of her own, with thoughts that are sometimes beyond me, chose to have a dinosaur party. Nothing else would do. And when I told her I wasn’t sure how to do a dinosaur party, she told me that I was good at parties, and she was sure I would make it awesome. So I did my best…

And a dinosaur party it was…

She even told me that she NEEDED a dinosaur dress, because she always has an outfit to go with her party theme. I told her I was not sure that there was such a thing as a dinosaur dress, and she said “mommy, you should look on Etsy.” So I did, and we found one.
I think I’ve created a monster…

I even managed to find a “pin the horn on the triceratops” game, which, as you can see, my girl was thrilled about.

She picked her cupcakes…

I love how excited she gets EVERY time she is sung to.

I also love the way my girl likes what she likes…

Even if it sometimes throws me at first.

Maybe one day, we’ll have a princess party.

But if not, I will do my best to rock whatever makes my girl happy…

This girl is the most awesome little six year old I know!

What sweet pictures and I'm not surprised you found a dinosaur dress. She is the best dressed little girl. I love that she has her own definite ideas. I don't ever see princess parties in Josie's future. She's all super heros and Lego and Ninjago. Cheers!

What cute ideas for her party. She knows you well! Looks like she enjoyed herself. Blessings

Absolutely love it! It's my hope that my three year old (who currently very much has a mind of her own), one day has the same kind of confidence little M has, and not always follow the crowd \”just because\”. I love that she knows what she wants!
