Color Of The Week…
Baby J’s foot looks really good, I could even tell a big difference this week, and the doctor was very happy and very surprised to see this big of a result in only two weeks. YAY!
But this week, something else happened…on Wednesday baby J decided that this sitting around and scooting on his bottom was nonsense. He decided he was walking, and that was the end of that.
The grandparents bought him a walker toy while they were here, and he loves it, and could hobble along with it. I think it was just what he needed to get his confidence raised enough to walk.
Since he is walking, they needed to reinforce the area of the cast that goes around the toes, put more padding around pressure points (don’t want any fractures or sores!), and still adjust his foot a bit more.
Baby J was so not thrilled when the cast came off this time. The nurse removing it accidentally nicked his thigh with the saw, and it really scared him…poor thing. Â It doesn’t break the skin, but it is scary, so he screamed through the whole thing.
He was much happier when the doctor came to do the casting, and he was happy and smiling by the time we left.
We have been so blessed to have good friends who have offered to hang out with little M while baby J is getting casted. It makes my life so easy to be able to only focus on baby J there, and I am so thankful for them. Little M loves these guys so much, and she looks forward to Friday all week! Thanks, Chases!
OMGosh, the same thing happened to Lily who is 10 and she isn't really scared of anything and it freaked her out and then it happened again and it burned her badly and really freaked her out. Poor little man. Not fair and not fun.I love this cast, it is way cool. So glad his foot is moving along in the right direction so fast.
Continued blessings to your handsome son. I'm glad you have support and good friends.
