Finally …Slacker Parents A Little Bit

Yes, it’s about time… but it is done! Yesterday was not just about Halloween and candy, it was a momentous day in the life of our little M.

Yesterday, little M’s re-adoption was finalized. She was already a citizen upon entering the US after her adoption in China, but being re-adopted in the states gives her a few extra benefits, like a legal US name change, and most importantly…a US state issued birth certificate!

So off to court we went…

Our judge was very cute. She read the adoption decree, and approved our petition by signing with a nice pen, which she gave to little M as a gift. She assured us that if little M used this pen in high school for her work, that she would receive straight A’s. Ha.

It’s official!
