This Girl…
This girl has been home, with us, for exactly two months today!
She has been through so much is these two months: Leaving the country she was born in, a new language, new parents, a major surgery, and copious doctor’s visits. These things have overwhelmed me, so what must she be feeling and thinking? I would want to curl into a ball. She has been through way more transitions and scary things in two years than most people have to go through in a lifetime.
But she still smiles and claps her hands when we get in the car to go somewhere…even though she doesn’t know where we are going, or if it will be painful. And she is always happy to come back home. She makes us smile and laugh with her excitement over every new thing, even if it is a small thing. We love watching her take in every new experience with joy and awe, it is so fun to see her happy, and I love that she has chosen joy.
Happy two months, little M! We love you!
Your daughter is doing amazingly well. Josie was nearly identical in all she went through and our adjustment period took much longer. You have such a little resilient sweetheart.
She is one strong little girl. I just love seeing her smile. Happy 2 months home.
So precious! The pictures very clearly show the joy that she is choosing!
Wow, the time has sure gone by quickly. I remember following you to China like it was yesterday. It's sad to know our little ones have to go through so much at such a young age, but Mackenzie has a strong will and spirit. And her smile is just breathtaking.
Miss M is a wonderful, beautiful and strong little girl, and one amazing mommy and daddy!!! You keep doing what you're doing, and stay focus in those normal moments… You've done your homework, and your doing OUTSTANDING job with Miss M!!!! It gets even better with time. At that one year anniversary, something happens, it all clicks and comes together perfectly..
Wow! She is so CUTE and that smile tops the charts! To know all that she has been through, yet she always seems to have a smile throughout it all. That's a God thing. He makes us resilient and strong, and brings us joy.
So cute, adorable, happy! Love the photos. You are all doing so well. Happy Halloween to you!Alyzabeth's Mommy
