Santa Clause Is Coming To Town
Two years ago, the Saturday before Thanksgiving, we went to visit Santa…Our kids had been asking to go, and we were trying to make as many memories with tiny P as we could make, because we weren’t sure how much longer she would be with us.
Tiny P didn’t like new people, but she LOVED Santa. She snuggled right up to him, and laid her head on his chest, and Santa fell in love. He held her for quite a while, long after we were done taking pictures, even though the line of people behind us was very long.
When he asked our kids what they wanted for Christmas, little M said “all we need is a heart for Paisley. That’s the most important thing.” And baby J agreed. And I cried, and so did Santa.
The next day, Sunday, we got the call that there was a heart for our girl.
This year when we visited Santa, he commented on how beautiful our kids were, and how much he loved our youngest. I told him the story of when we saw him two years ago, and how our baby got a new heart the next day. And we both had all the feelings all over again…
We marveled over how wonderful she looks, and Santa said “I’m so thankful! What an answer to our prayers!”
We love our Santa. Love.
