It’s Gone!!
After a long two weeks with her little front tooth barely hanging on, it is finally gone! Yes, that’s right, first tooth is out!
Yeah, yeah, she looks happy now, after a couple days of getting used to the missing tooth. But seriously, you would have thought she had lost an arm.
It was devastating…even after weeks of talking about how this would happen, and reading stories and even watching videos, little M was still not happy.
Very not happy. We were in the car, and I guess it just fell out, and little M spit it into her little mitten.
I pulled over, and she burst into tears. Poor little thing sobbed for over an hour. Every time she felt the empty space with her tongue again, she said “I don’t want to have a hole!” and started crying all over again.
Then, three long hours late, after talking to the husband, she declared herself “not happy, but ok.”
The next day she woke up to a surprise from the tooth fairy…and she was happy. She also told me that the tooth fairy is not real, “just a fantasy,” and asked me where I put her tooth. I told her I put it away.
I swear, it’s like we have a forty year old sometimes, instead of a four year old.
But doesn’t she look adorbs with her little gap?
My little one, G, said she had a blink. She would put her tongue behind the hole and move it fast to make it \”blink.\” Maybe you can show her that and it will make it better.
Too funny! And Rory lost her first tooth just this morning, but her reaction is quite different. She thinks its the biggest thing to ever happen to her.
Adorable! She and Katie have matching gaps right now! Of course probably only for the next day or so — Katie's about to lose the second top one, especially so she can sing \”All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth\” in time for the season. 🙂
I'm sorry she's feeling sad about her loss. She looks adorable. Josie has 3 wiggly teeth just waiting to erupt.
Too cute! Little kids always look so adorable with that little gap between their teeth 🙂
