Santa has been visited. ♥️🎅🏼♥️

For most, Santa is a symbol of joy and magic during the holiday season. For us, he represents so much more.

For the past 12 years, we’ve visited this same Santa, year after year. He has become more than just the man in the red suit; he’s a constant in our lives, a part of our story. There was only one year we almost didn’t make it.

Nine years ago, our Paisley was so sick, we didn’t know if she would make it to Christmas. We saw Santa early that year—before Thanksgiving. When he asked our kids what they wanted for Christmas, Mackenzie and Jackson didn’t hesitate. Their answer was simple, pure, and heartbreaking: “We just want a heart for our sister.”

Santa and I both cried that day.

The very next morning, we got the call. Our beloved cardiologist told us the news we had been praying for—there was a heart. Paisley was going to get her miracle.

Every year since, we visit this same Santa, and every year he is a reminder of the miracle we witnessed. He greets Paisley with a smile, marvels at how beautiful and grown she’s become, and calls her what she truly is: an answer to prayer.

And we agree. Because we know.

This Santa is more than Christmas magic to us. He’s a reminder of hope, faith, and the miracles that still happen.

We can’t wait to get back to the mountains, the forests, and the star-filled nights. To feel the sunlight through the canopy and feel the peace of the woods in our bones. The mountains and the trees—our sanctuary, always calling us home.

When your personal nurse gets sick, you stay home and have a Christmas Day with mom…
Our sweet girl has a personal nurse that shadows her at school to make sure she is safe. But this time of year so many viruses are going around! So when the nurse is out and the nursing agency can’t find a substitute, sweet Paisley cannot attend school.
This is disappointing for her and frustrating to have to stay home when you are not sick, especially since she already misses so much school because of sickness! It’s hard to stay home when you feel ok, but we make the most of it with treats, crafts and movies. ♥️♥️
