Tiny P…

So we decided before Christmas that we were ready to adopt again…if we were able to move quickly, we would be able to adopt a special focus child in China by reusing the dossier we used for baby J. If you adopt within a year, China allows you to reuse your dossier. We needed to move forward with a specific child within a year to reuse… but we didn’t quite make that deadline.

When April (the month we got baby J) rolled around, we realized that we were not going to make our cutoff, but that we only needed a few more documents to complete a whole new dossier, and after talking with our agency we decided to collect the remaining documents and put together a new dossier. Our dossier is very nearly complete, and should be heading off to be authenticated in the next couple weeks… then we will wait for a Log-in date, and then we will be waiting for our official letter of approval.

At the end of April, just a few weeks after our reuse cut off, our agency sent us the file for a little girl.  I’m not sure why it happened after our cutoff (before the cutoff would have saved us a good bit of time), but I know everything happens for a reason, and I know God’s plan for our daughter is a perfect one. Little M is beside herself with joy (baby J is pretty oblivious), and all she talks about is her baby sister. Bless it.

Our tiny P is in Hunan, the same province that baby J is from (she is on the opposite side of the province, though), in a remote area in the mountains.
She is eighteen months old this month (in a few days), and she shares a birthday month with the grandma.
I can’t wait to show you all pictures, but trust me when I say that she is incredibly adorable, and she has the biggest cheeks I have ever seen…and I have seen some big cheeks, ha.

We have been talking with little M’s cardiologist to discuss our plan for tiny P after she comes home (that will be a post of it’s own), and preparing for all the changes that will be happening for our little family. We would love prayers for our littlest…for her little heart, and that everything would go quickly and smoothly so that we can get to her as soon as we can.

We are so excited about his next chapter in our lives, and look forward to sharing our journey with you!
