Tubes…
Yesterday was the day. Little M got tubes put in her ears early in the morning.
She handled the whole thing with her happy little smile, and was especially fun to watch while on drugs. She was very confused when we left and she hadn’t gotten an owie, and she kept saying “no owie? No owie?” I was just relieved there were no owies.
So far we haven’t noticed much of a difference, and I have to admit, I am a little disappointed. Honestly, I was hoping for a grand and obvious difference, and while she appears to be hearing some things that we didn’t think she could hear before, it doesn’t seem to be the grand miracle I was hoping would occur as soon as we walked out of the hospital.
Her ears do seem to be bothering her a bit, so I am thinking there could maybe be some swelling or the eardrums need some time to heal?
We will wait some more, and see…
Give it some time and don't be afraid to consult with the doctor. Thinking of you BOTH!!
glad everything went well! what a trooper your girl is! hope you see those big results soon!
Good to hear that it went so well for Little M. It might be a bit before you really notice a difference… it seemed to be a bit for Jenna and then it was so gradual that there wasn't that big moment that we thought might happen. Hope she's hearing better really soon!
