Six Months…
Six months ago today, we watched our tiny P being wheeled from the operating room into what would be her room for the next month in the cardiac intensive care unit…
Yesterday, I watched her climb the stairs for the first time by herself.
Six months ago today, tiny P had a brand new heart, and we were overwhelmed with gratitude…and just plain overwhelmed.
Today she asked me when she gets to go to school.
Six months ago we were told how important those first six months were…and I remember thinking, six months is so far away!
Today she is living, and she is loving life with ALL the enthusiasm her little three year old self can muster.
Tiny P, you are so loved…and six months looks beautiful on you!
